We are the Weber Valley Woodcarvers in Ogden, UT; our club of woodcarvers whose skills range from beginner to advanced meets every 4th Tuesday of every month at the Ogden Senior Center in South Ogden. We are one of four woodcarving clubs in Utah and our members often compete and consistently do well at the Salt Lake annual woodcarving competition that is held at Historic Wheeler Farms. Our club members often sell their work as unique hand carved gifts and many of the members make gifts for their family members. Woodcarving can be a great and rewarding way to express yourself through a beautiful medium.

Purposes of our carving club are:

To promote wider community interest in wood carving as an art form and creative craft - through meetings, shows, demonstrations and educational activities.

To provide guidance and assistance to beginners and experienced alike.

To create opportunities for fellowship with others who share an interest in carving regardless of sex, race, age, religious beliefs or level of carving experience.

To give the general public opportunities to experience the visual and tactile joys unique to, the "feel" and appearance of functional or decorative wood carvings.

Meetings are open and the public is invited to attend.
